God Little: Nathaly "Conspire" Cabrera (Alpha Lambda Charter)
Status: Alumna
Major: Social Work and Human Resource Management
Why I joined Sigmas: "When I came out to the rush events the sisters were so laid back and actually fun. These women weren't just focused on recruiting numbers, they cared about each of us as an individual. At that time I was also rushing 7 other sororities, but Sigmas made the decision crystal clear. I love Sigmas and if I rushed 15 sororities I would still pick Sigmas all over again. Sigmas is a unique family of sisters I know I can always count on, and that's an amazing thing to have! :)"
#15 Alison "Ambience" Kim
Birthday: 7/25
Big Sis: Alyssa "Spire" Chan (Alpha Delta Charter)
Status: Alumna
Major: Information Technology and Informatics
Interests: listening to music, sleeping, Tumblr
Why I joined Sigmas: "Being a transfer student, I was overwhelmed with a whole new campus, let alone making new friends. They caught my attention at the involvement fair and approached me with general information about the sorority and their philanthropy. From the first rush event to the last, I came to admire the sisters who were unique in their own way. I had such a great time during the rush events and each event sparked up an even bigger interest in wanting to know more about the sorority and what it's like to be a syzter. They genuinely wanted to know me and nothing was ever forced. I felt comfortable to be myself around them. I don't think any one of us imagined themselves to be in a sorority, but the sisters made me change my perception on the true value of being a SYZter. SYZ is more than just a sorority, they're my second family away from home. And honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better family :')"

Why I joined Sigmas: "I had no intention of ever becoming a "sorority girl" based on everything I had seen on television and heard around campus. Why would I want to be dense, vapid and devoid of individuality? So when my friend asked me to attend a rush event, I had no idea what I was in store for. I thought I was going merely to support her and that would be it. I was wrong. I immediately felt welcomed by the sisters I met at that event and none of it seemed like the dull pleasantries extended by people who do not actually care. This was genuine. I was also drawn to the diversity. In just that one room, there were women of different backgrounds, faiths and interests. These weren't the sorority drones I had pictured in my mind. These were real people who had come together and united despite various differences. I immediately wanted to be be a part of that."
