Why I joined Sigmas: "I always felt like I wasn't having the college experience everyone has been talking about so far. I joined Sigmas to work on myself and to meet new people. Also, I'm really interested in Sigma's philanthropy and I would like to work toward that mission. Not only that, but everyone was really friendly and welcoming during the rush events."

Why I joined Sigmas: “As someone who used to move around a lot, it was always difficult for me to make friends. However, I felt right at home with the sisters when I attended the rush events. While their dedication and loyalty to the sorority really impressed me, what really made me admire them was the bond of sisterhood. I'm learning a lot more than I ever thought I would from a Greek organization, such as professional and social skills, and joining is undoubtedly one of the best decisions I have ever made!”

I think there has to be a big transition from high school to college, so I joined Sigmas to become a better me. I also like Sigmas because it's a multicultural sorority and it empowers women's right and powers.

Why I joined Sigmas: "I initially looked to Greek life for the socializing and the image of it. For me, that image was something I wanted as it felt like a rite of passage. What brought me to Sigmas wasn't the image they carried, but rather a friend of mine. Over my time with them, I learned that there is so much more to Greek life, which is why they were all a part of Sigmas. They were here to inspire change. All of them were here for a purpose, and the more time I spent with them, the more their drive spread to me and the less that image I had initially craved meant. In the end, I found a family that would accept me for who and what I am, without being fake, and I am glad to have found this sisterhood."
