Why I joined Sigmas: “I originally attended rush events to support my friends who were already a part of Sigmas but what lead me to join were the other sisters who welcomed me with open arms. People who I’ve never even meet before came up to me and asked me how I was, how my day was going and it made me realize how Sigmas was like a family that I could rely on when I needed to. The sisters helped me with whatever problems I was going through and did everything they could to help me succeed- I want to be able to do the same for others. I look at my sisters with pride knowing that we’ve all worked hard to reach our goals and developed into the people we wish to be. Because of Sigmas and the opportunities that come along with being a sister, I’ve met so many new people and created bonds that will probably last my lifetime. I want to be able to graduate and look back at all of the memories I’ve made that probably wouldn’t have been possible without Sigmas and know with full confidence that it was one of the best things that ever happened to me in college. I know that day will come and until then, I will continue to strive to spread the warmth and love to others just as the sisters have done to me.”
