Why I joined Sigmas: "The reason why I joined Sigmas was because when I first came out to the first rush event, the sisters were really sweet and down to earth. They were really nice and easy to get along with. I felt comfortable talking to the sisters and I could be myself around them. Also, I remember during the first rush event, I left my bag at one of the sister's houses, and she drove all the way to my house late at night to return it to me. They told me that they don't want me to not have my stuff for classes the next morning, and tt was really nice of them to do that. It really touched me and made me want to come back and meet more sisters. In addition, I really like the philanthropy, to combat violence against women. I am a huge advocate of this issue and want to do more to support this cause. "

Why I joined Sigmas: "I joined Sigmas because I personally loved the philanthropy. I was also attracted to the personality of all the sisters of Sigma Psi Zeta. Everyone was so down to earth and chill, I felt like I finally found a place where I belong. Ever since I was younger I wanted sisters who could help me grow and be there for me, and when I first went to rush Sigmas, I felt that I had found the group of people whom I wish to be my sisters."

Why I joined Sigmas: "Sigma Psi Zeta is refreshing and different. When the sisters come together we have our serious moments, but then we always have our silly moments as well. When I came to my first few rush events of Sigma Psi Zeta, I immediately got the sense that the sisters of Sigma Psi Zeta were so down to earth and that was something I really just wanted: friendship and sisterhood. I was looking to create a lasting bond and I found it.With my recent experiences with Sigma Psi Zeta, I have become so much more outgoing and confident when I speak. It has already changed me to become a better person, I also was looking to become more involved with student life at Rutgers such as community service, and Sigma Psi Zeta definitely offers so many opportunities for me to reach out to the community."
